After 15 years of being a pebble tumbling along in the mainstream of corporate Canada, I ultimately decided to step out of the rushing waters and just breathe. I am grateful for all that I learned, the home that I acquired, the friends that I made, and my beautiful wife and daughters that have all come to me during those formidable years. Those experiences have sculpted who I am today. At the same time, I knew that it was time to follow my heart and pursue something that I would be passionate about and enable me to serve people individually as opposed to a faceless corporation.

Hypnosis for me had always been mysterious and magical. My father, Dr. Daniel Marisi, used hypnosis while practicing in the field of sports psychology which sparked my interest in the technique. But it wasn’t until I observed him using this skill with one of his close personal friends, who was suffering in pain from Crohn's disease, when hypnosis became magical to me...as did my dad.

I sought out and received an education in clinical hypnosis from the Coastal Academy of Hypnotherapy in White Rock, British Columbia. This school, along with instructors, Leslie McIntosh and Rosa Livingstone, taught volumes more than just the technical applications of hypnosis as it transported me to places within my mind that I never knew existed. I learned that above and beyond the knowledge and technical skills the school provided, using my heart was the most powerful way to work effectively with others.

I believe that the ability to change or achieve anything for ourselves already exists within us. It's just a matter of uncovering that true potential that has been masked over years of emotional experiences. All we need to do is unwrap those natural gifts.
